Information
Our guest speaker will be Tonya Terrell with Caswell County Youth Outreach/Enrichment Program and the Caswell County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council. Tonya will share the opportunity available to local youth to serve on Caswell County's Teen Court. She will also share her insight into finding local mentors and programs to assist you and your children of all ages.
Teen Court provides a “hands on” educational experience for student volunteers in our justice system. Teen Court is an alternative system of justice which offers juvenile offenders an opportunity to take responsibility for their offenses through community service and other educational opportunities. A juvenile referred to Teen Court appears before a jury of peers and is defended and prosecuted by peers.
Our monthly meetings are open to the public. If you are homeschooling, interested in homeschooling or looking to support homeschool families, we hope you can join us!
